General Terms & Conditions
- Service Provider: Jerni (Jerni Tech Cab Private Limited) provides an online platform for booking cabs, connecting travelers with cab partners. Jerni does not own, operate, or provide transportation services and does not act as an agent for any cab partner.
- Timings: The arrival and departure times are approximate and may vary due to traffic or other delays. However, the cab will not leave before the scheduled time. Passengers should call the cab partner's contact number provided in the app to confirm the boarding point and departure time on the day of travel.

Boarding Requirements:
Passengers must provide the following details when boarding the cab:
- OTP received during booking.
- Proof of Identity (Driving License, Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, or Voter Card).
- Cab Partner Classification: Jerni classifies cab partners based on customer feedback and surveys to help customers choose a cab partner. This classification can change depending on the cab partner's performance.
- Boarding Time: Passengers should arrive at the boarding point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Complaints/Grievances: Any complaints or grievances should be reported within one week of the journey.
- Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed if the confirmation page is shown to the customer.
- Resending SMS/Email: If a booking confirmation or cancellation SMS/Email is not received, it can be resent upon request. Delivery may fail or be delayed due to reasons beyond Jerni's control.
- Payment Gateway/Service Charges: Jerni will not charge any additional payment gateway or service fees unless specified on the booking details page.
- Insurance Listing: Jerni allows insurance companies to list and advertise their policies on the platform. Selecting an insurance policy does not constitute a recommendation from Jerni. By selecting a policy, you agree to the terms and conditions of the insurance company.
- Communication: By booking through Jerni.in, customers agree to receive calls, emails, SMS, or alerts regarding their bookings.
- Liability: In case of claims arising from unforeseen circumstances, Jerni's liability is limited to twice the booking amount.
- Amendments: Jerni.in may amend, modify, or withdraw its terms and conditions at any time without notice.
- Legal Jurisdiction: All legal disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Delhi (New Delhi) only.
Cancellation policy

At Jerni Tech Cab Private Limited, we strive to provide the best ride-sharing experience for our passengers. We understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel your ride. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent, ensuring clarity on how refunds are processed.
Refund Eligibility and Terms

Cancellation 24 Hours Prior to Departure:
If you cancel your seat 24 hours or more before the scheduled departure time, you are eligible for a full refund. No cancellation fees will be applied.

Cancellation 12 Hours Prior to Departure:
If you cancel your seat between 12 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, 15% of the total fare will be deducted as a cancellation fee. You will receive 85% of the total fare as a refund.

Cancellation 6 Hours Prior to Departure:
If you cancel your seat between 6 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled departure time, 20% of the total fare will be deducted as a cancellation fee. You will receive 80% of the total fare as a refund.

No Refund for Cancellations Within 6 Hours:
Cancellations made within 6 hours of the scheduled departure time are not eligible for a refund. The boarding chart is prepared exactly 5 hours and 59 minutes prior to departure, after which no refund requests will be entertained.
Refund Processing
Refund Timeline: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days from the date of cancellation. The refunded amount will be credited to the original payment method used for booking.
Notification: You will receive a notification via email or SMS once the refund has been processed.
Important Notes
- Partial Cancellations: If your booking includes multiple seats, and you cancel one or more seats, the cancellation fee will be applied to the cancelled seats only.
- Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, strikes, or other situations beyond our control, Jerni Tech Cab Private Limited reserves the right to modify or waive the cancellation fees.
- Disputes: Any disputes or issues regarding refunds should be reported to Jerni customer support within 14 days of the cancellation date.
How to Cancel a Booking

Via Jerni App:
Open the Jerni app and go to 'My Bookings'. Select the ride you wish to cancel and follow the prompts to cancel the booking. The applicable refund will be processed as per the above terms.

Via Customer Support:
Contact Jerni customer support through the app, email, or hotline. Provide your booking details and reason for cancellation. The support team will assist you with the cancellation and process the refund as per the policy.

Offers & Discounts
- No two offers that are live can be combined to be redeemed.
- Any offer published by Jerni or its partners can be changed without prior notice.
- Each offer can have its own terms and conditions. Please refer to the offers page.
- Offers and discounts are not applicable on bookings made with state-run transport corporations.
Jerni Responsibility
- Generation of a valid booking confirmation through its partners/operators.
- Sending an SMS, Email for booking confirmation/cancellation.
- Providing voice/email support for any booking/cancellation/refund issues.
Are Not Jerni Responsibilities
- Any incorrect data provided by the customer while booking.
- Any cab delays, breakdowns, service cancellations, and accidents.
- Any misbehavior by the cab partner staff or co-passenger.
- Loss/damage of baggage.
- Late arrival by the customer at the boarding point.
- Customer phone not reachable, cab partner did not call at the boarding point and left without picking the customer.
- Customer waiting at the wrong boarding point.
- Any change of seat numbers done by the cab partner manually.
- Cab partner changing the boarding point for any reason.
- Cab partner arranging a different vehicle for pickup at the boarding point and boarding the actual vehicle at a different place.
- Cab partner objecting to carrying pets.
- Improper booking done by an agent, please contact the agent directly.
- Cab partner not providing in-vehicle amenities/facilities mentioned while booking.
- Change of vehicle type by the cab partner for any reason.
- Cab fares are not controlled by Jerni, so any change in fares is not the responsibility of Jerni.
- The fare might vary based on the seat selected. So the fare shown in the 'Search Page' and 'Seat Selection Page' might vary.
- The rules and regulations for carrying luggage vary among cab partners. Most cab partners allow 15-20 Kgs of luggage (bags, suitcases) per passenger. The cab partner has sole discretion to allow passengers to carry any other form of luggage like carton boxes, etc. Jerni is not responsible if the passenger is not allowed to board the cab if the luggage is inappropriate (valuable goods, explosives, carton boxes, etc.) to carry in the cab. Please check with the cab partner directly if any extra luggage/carton boxes, etc. are being carried.
Failure Transactions
- A transaction might fail for several reasons and your account/card might be debited without generating a booking confirmation. If the amount is deducted from your account/card, Jerni will process a full refund within 24 hours. Your Bank/Card/Wallet may credit the amount in 2-7 working days.
- Transactions such as these are refunded back to the customer. Please read the refund policy.
